Carl Dixon “gets” what makes music tick. A wide range of songs and spoken bits ( from “every type of Rock in the Garden”) makes it the place to hear great stuff you haven’t heard since you had the turntable going in the rec room. Occasional live-to-air solo acoustic performances by Carl also add interest.

Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott and Ontario Trillium Foundation Winston Uytenbogaart present Jay Mowat for a cheque $29,000 toward the 250 watt increase. The radio station was previously broadcasting at 50 watts and was heard in the Town of Erin and south Orangeville. The new increase now reaches Georgetown, The Town of Erin, Rockwood, Acton, South Guelph, Grand Valley, Orangeville, and Caledon. Thank you Ontario Trillium Foundation!

Peter Douglas hosts The Sunday Music Mix each Sunday at noon on Main Street Radio. It’s two hours of music from Canada and around the world. The program will introduce you to music you might not hear on regular radio. We bring you artists from Abba to Zucherro, and there’s often a couple of songs sung in different languages. It’s a chance to hear wonderful music from around the world. We also feature very talented up and coming Canadian artists whom you might not know yet. There is also lots of familiar music from many different musical genres, including Blues, Jazz, Big Band and Popular. Most weeks we feature an artist and play several of their songs. There are also Triple Plays, where we hear three different songs from each of three different artists. We also bring you live concert versions of many familiar songs. Finally, most shows feature an Oldies set. If you’re interested in expanding your musical horizons, this is the show for you.
